Collection Review - Lala Berlin

Lala Berlin Spring 2023 RTW collection has to be one of my favourite collections I have seen in a long time. I often find it hard to truly love a collection but this went passed my expectations for what we can be seeing this spring coming. The relaxed, slouchy silhouette is perfect for the changing of weather, I feel everything in this collection could be mixed and matched so much and every piece is so versatile. View the collection on vogue runway.

The tones are muted yet light and bring freshness to the eye. Looks 4 and 5 are my personal favourites from the entire collection, they provide the right amount of luxury and uniqueness without being too bold for everyday use.

The jacket seen in look 5 has amazing sleeves I love the taped in with pleats for a ballon like effect. Looking closer at the jacket from a more technical point of view the topstitching on the seams are such a beautiful way to add depth through a construction technique and really elevates a garment. The jacket works really well with the tortoise shell patterned buttons, almost creating a resort style effect for warm winds and sunny evenings.

After looking at the collection the only thing I would’ve liked to have seen would’ve been some more draping in forms of loose pleats on maybe a flowing skirt to work with the silhouettes going on within this collection.

All the looks have been styled really well and looks all out together and balanced with no unsightly eye-catching areas. I love classic looks and don’t normally go for trending prints however the prints used throughout this collection are lovely, I feel they are goings to be more staple prints for a wardrobe than prints we have previously seen like marble. The top and trousers at a quick glance almost seem marble but looking closer the print is so much more modern which I adore, I think it's such a unique pattern with a perfect amount of black used so it isn’t too over bearing.
