Must have coats this Autumn/Winter
I am not sure if it is just me but finding coats is a nightmare. This year I started shopping early I want the best coats this year that can be worn for so many more years to come and work for every outfit. For me slouchy and oversized coats are the way to go for me. I get cold so easily I need space for so many layers but also silhouette wise I like the winter chunky look with a good oversized long line coat.
I think it is so important to have staples and i’m trying to improve my wardrobe usage so going for styles that I know will always be classic and stylish are where I am aiming to go with my coats. I am not getting rid of any coats that may not be suited to this as I already have them and will use them I’ll just have some staples which will be worn on a more regular basis and make it easier to create an outfit.
I wanted to have 2 good puffers and two wool textured long coats whether they be trench or not just depended on what I was liking. I already had one black puffer, not the warmest but it was black and was good for me was from primark last year. I’ve now found a lovely camel coloured long coat that is perfect to wear for any outfit weather that be for a formal meal or a casual jogger set shopping day. This coat was from asos and is linked here. I also got a sand coloured puffer from Asos which o love how big and puffy it is I just know how warm it is going to keep me when it gets colder. I have yet to find a black long line coat which suits my style and body type perfectly but i’m not pressured for time and am going for timeless and classic styles that will last a lifetime. I really see the value in investing in a couple of good coats however there are loads of more affordable options which I just love.
I love looking for coats on Asos and Next as they have so many brands on their websites and have the quality which I love. I think it is so hard to find coats now, the past year I have noticed how awful in person stores are and if they are any good they are way out of my budget! Online shopping is the way to go for me with coats just means I have to be on it with returns as coats sizing either runs so much bigger or so much smaller than regular items of clothing.
