Collection Review - Kris Goyri

I am here for Kris Goyri’s 2023 spring collection. The level of sophistication channeled through the silhouettes and fabric manipulation is incredible.

I find it so interesting how the navy has been used in such an innovative way especially for a spring collection. At first I’d think navy wouldn’t do spring justice however I was so wrong. in this collection the navy colour is so fresh and relaxing, perfect for spring. Personally, I feel the colour selection chosen is so creative and all the base and highligthening colours work really well for a spring collection. The colours work so well on a slouchy, relaxed silhouette and provided a higher level of elegance to the overall outfits just through choice of colour. I am not a huge fan on neon and the orange chosen is not to personal taste but the overall outfits in these colours are still so beautiful but I’d have preferred a lighter colour, to elevate spring more and not rush too quickly into summer.

Throughout the collection Assymetrcial cuts and necklines have been used, such a simple way to add a more dynamic feel to relaxed and breezy clothing. The use of asymmetrical cuts really leans towards a trend I love - layering. This collection is perfect for this especially in spring as all the outfits look so lightweight and is a prefect way to merge into spring from winter layering with bulky jumpers, scarfs and coats.

I can really seen this collection appealing to so many people as everything works so well together however take look by look, evening garment by garment and can be worn in so many different ways for so many styles which is perfect for people who now their style or experimenting to find their fashion style which suits them.
