Autumn/Winter Weddings

Colder weddings are always tricky to decide what to wear, you want to look good but don’t want to be shivering the whole night and always at the end of the night you end up with a comfy hoodie on because it is just too cold. Although September isn’t the coldest of months my aunt’s wedding was then and the outfit I wore would be perfect for all seasons.

I chose this dress. Covered shoulders are great for the colder seasons the breeze doesn’t hit you so much, and heavy pleating in the skirt weighs the dress down and blocks out the cold. I got this dress in the sage green option and is so flattering. the waistband is elasticated so is perfect for filling wedding meals and drinking. I had tried on over 30 dresses until I knew this was the one, there is a real gap in good dresses that actually fit and I didn’t think until then my body was that hard to find clothes for. This dress comes in so many colours so is perfect for deeper colours in winter. There is an emerald green version and it is so pretty, looks so luxurious and would be great for a winter wedding.

I went for heels with a covered toe from public desire. These are the shoes I chose. A small change by having a covered toe can make so much difference and make sure to bring some little shoes for later on when you are on the dance floor.

However, if you’ve found your outfit but want a jacket I’ve linked some below I think would be for guests.
