A/W Fashion Trends
A/W is approaching and thought it was only right to talk about some of the upcoming trends we are going to see this year.
The 90’s grunge is coming back this year. Heavy layers and Chucky leather items are coming in fast. They have been seen all over catwalks with heavy-looking garments with silver details, lace mixed with this from that grungy look has also been seen. This trend works so well with the chunky boots that are coming back again this year and is a great way to add a trend into a wardrobe that won’t fade out of fashion fast.
There is a great juxtaposition in trends with the next one big, bold monochromatic outfits. Normally bright colours are seen in Summer trends but this year it is all over the autumn/winter catwalk and looks stunning, the monochromatic outfits are balanced through varying textures to add dimension whether that be through creative knit stitching or fabric manipulation. I am so here for this trend I am someone to normally shy away from colours but it is totally possible to have a versatile wardrobe with colour and will denifatly be investing in some colourful sweaters and scarves.
The oversized and relaxed fit is back and is a trend that to me is no longer a trend I can see this always being present within the fashion industry now. This trend is so great for comfort and I believe is a spillover from the pandemic and is so freeing to wear and can be so empowering to wear oversized business suits out. This trend is great for the cold weather layering to create fabulous mix-and-match outfits that are perfect for all occasions. Relating to this trend long skirts and jumper dresses have also been popular, over extended trousers have been seen to create an elongated figure.
Leather. All things leather are coming in hard this season from jackets to trousers and tops coords full leather outfits have been seen on a variety of catwalks and look stunning. Leather is such a good investment piece and can be styled to fit into the grunge or minimalism trend so easily is great for having as a staple piece.
