Collection Review - Jacquemus
Jacquemus Spring/Summer 2023 Collection was gorgeous. The 61 look collection had the colour palette of my dreams, everything was jaw-dropping. The outfits were described by him as ‘comfy and couture’. He wanted this collection to move away from the previous designs and into a minimalistic approach.
The women’s outfits in this collection are all something I’d proudly have in my wardrobe. The choice of fabrics was perfect for this collection I believe there was no extravagant texture, all the interests were around the silhouette, fabric manipulation and technical details which were so intriguing the more and more I looked at each outfit the more detail I saw and the more I loved each piece.
Look 1 the top is so perfect, the deep v strapless neckline ran so well with the elongated back and side and blew so gorgeously with the wind and levelled up and the all-white look to be so elegant. The crop on the top didn’t just make this appeal to a younger generation the high level of elegance meant this it can be worn by all ages of women and can drapes so well over the bodice it looks as though it would be perfect for any sizes bust.
I loved the oversized and slouchy silhouette this collection provided, each piece hung of the models in such a desirable way and in pieces where there was ruching or tulle volume added the slight diversity needed to balance out this collection.
I’m always looking on the Vogue runway but I can hand down say this collection is my favourite which I have seen in a very long time there is a perfect balance in different garments and is perfect for spring/summer. the expression of comfort through every look can be so vividly seen and the neutral colour makes each garment a perfect high-end staple that will last a lifetime.
